Nepal Bank reported net profit of Rs.91.38 crore in Q1 – EPS at Rs.39.92

Nepal Bank has published first quarter report of FY 2075/76 based on Nepal financial reporting standard (NFRS). It has reported decline in net profit by 5.9% in the comparing period.

Net profit: It has reported net profit of Rs.91.38 crore in Q1 which was Rs.97.13 crore in the same period of last fiscal year.

As per the NFRS model, the bank has free profit after regulatory adjustments of Rs.97.91 crore which can be distribute as dividend to its shareholders.

Deposit: The bank is able to collect deposit Rs. 93.43 arba in Q1 of FY 2075/76 from Rs.92.72 arba in Q1 of last Fiscal year.

Loan & advance: It had extended Rs.79.404 arba in loan and advances which was Rs.73.69 arba in same period of last fiscal year. Loan expansion increased by 7.26%.

Net interest income: It has made net interest income of Rs. 1.36 arba in Q1 from Rs.1.39 arba in Q1 of last fiscal year 2074/75. Net interest income decreased by 1.72%.

Expenses: The bank has made expanses of Rs.51.78 crore for staff salary and Rs. 17.42 crore for operating expanses in Q1.

Operating profit: It has posted operating profit of Rs.1.28 arba from Rs.91.01 crore in the corresponding quarter of last year. Operating profit rose by 40.78%.

Paid up capital & Reserve fund: Paid up capital surged to Rs.9.80 arba from Rs.8.04 arba in same period of last year. Reserve increased to Rs.19.60 arba from Rs.4.75 arba the last year. Reserve fund surged by 311.95%.

Its non performing loan increased to 2.787 from 3.42% in the last year.
