Now, Banks can work as Stock broker without having subsidiary company.
On the meeting of financial committee, Governor Chiranjivi Nepal stated that banks can work as Share broker directly without having subsidiary company for now. But interested banks must take permission from Nepal Rastra Bank to work as broker.
Governor Nepal further said that banks should work as broker through subsidiary after sometime.
It is believe that more and more people/ investors will have access to share market through branch networks of Banks.
