Nepal investment bank posted net profit of Rs.1.05 arba in first quarter

Nepal investment bank has published first quarter report of FY 2075/76 based on Nepal financial reporting standard (NFRS). It has reported increase in net profit by 17.84% in the comparing period.

Net profit: It has reported net profit of Rs.1.05 arba in Q1 which was Rs.89.49 crore in the same period of last fiscal year.

As per the NFRS model, the bank has free profit after regulatory adjustments of Rs.1.05 arba which can be distribute as dividend to its shareholders.

Deposit: The bank is able to collect deposit Rs. 1.41 kharba in Q1 of FY 2075/76 from Rs.1.31 kharba in Q1 of last Fiscal year. Deposit collection grown by 7.55%.

Loan & advance: It had extended Rs.1.24 kharba in loan and advances which was Rs.1.06 kharba in same period of last fiscal year. Loan disbursement grown by 17.29%. It has borrowing of Rs.1.378 arba.

Net interest income: It has made net interest income of Rs. 1.59 arba in Q1 from Rs.1.32 arba in Q1 of last fiscal year 2074/75. Net interest income surged by 20.20%.

Expenses: The bank has made expanses of Rs.40.13 crore for staff salary and Rs. 21.87 crore for operating expanses in Q1.

Operating profit: It has posted operating profit of Rs.1.50 arba from Rs.1.27 arba  in the corresponding quarter of last year. Operating profit rose by 17.84%.

Paid up capital & Reserve fund: Paid up capital surged to Rs.10.64 arba from Rs.10.62 arba in last year. Reserve increased to Rs.15.64 arba from Rs.8.97 arba the last year. Reserve increased by 74.25%.

Its non performing loan increased to 1.21% from 1.04% in the last year.
