Mega Bank has reported hike net profit by 6.13%, EPS fall by 42.28%

Mega Bank Nepal Limited (MEGA) has reported 6.13% growth in Net profit in the 2nd quarter of this fiscal year 2074/75.

As per the unaudited report published, Bank has stated net profit of 39.36 crore in this quarter. It had earned 37.09 crore in last year corresponding quarter.

Mega has collected 45.58 arba & floated in loan 40.76 arba during the period. Borrowing has decreased by 71.04% to 1.01 arba.

Net interest income of bank increased to 84.63 crore from 77.40 crore. Provision for possible loss is increased by 55.60%.

Operating profit is decreased by 91.03% to 47.31 arba.

Its paid up capital is 7.37 arba with reserve 1.67 arba. After 9.45% stock dividend of FY 2073/74, paid up of capital will reach 8.07 arba. It is further undergoing merger with Tourism development bank. After completion of Merger Paid up capital will cross 10 arba.

Non-performing loan is 0.96% from 0.67%.

Credit to Deposit is tide, CD ratio stands at 79.37. So need to further collected deposit to disburse in loan & generate income.

Annualized earning per share decreased to 10.67 from 18.49. Means EPS decreased by 42.28%.

PE ratio stands at 43.03 times.
